Dr. Shah is a highly-trained surgeon and urologist who is unique in that:

1. He has been doing robotic surgery in NM longer than any other surgeon

2. Is one of the few highly trained prostate surgeons who believes strongly in surveillance (non-surgical management) of many prostate cancers

2. He was the 1st person to perform robotic prostate and kidney surgeries in NM (2008)

3. He has completed training beyond residency, with a fellowship in oncology

5. He works at NM's only National Cancer Institute Designated Center
